In the beginning of the company, 42 Colt pistols were issued to pilots because of postal regs. I would like to have a copy of the records of the issuance of these automatic Colt pistols. In particular, I am interested in the pilot named Otto Ferguson who received Number 32 of the 42 pistols ordered from Colt with special marking ("T&WA #xx"). These pistols were shipped to Smith Hardware in Columbus, Ohio in late 1929. Two more were ordered in the following year. Otto Ferguson was killed in a plane crash in Pennsylvania in 1936 and the family has kept this pistol all this time. The information is needed to document the provenance letter that is with the pistol. This is very important info for gun collectors as these are rare and historic firearms. Any information will be appreciated even if that information states that there are no records. I thank you,. Honjon99@swbell.net
