Welcome to the new TWAlive Forums. Please refrain from using inappropriate or offensive language (unless used with reference to Carl Icahn - but even then, restrain yourselves!). This section of the board is for comments relating to the TWAlive website, not TWA in general. Please enjoy your stay, and thank you for visiting TWA's home on the web.

HI. I'm Bob in STL. Worked in STL for all 31 1/2 years. Most of the time I worked Baggage service. I retired 1/1/1986. Enjoyed working for TWA. Sad to see it is GONE WEST.

THANKS Nicholas...I have enjoyed your previous TWA "takes" and am sure TWAlive will be equally excellent for all of us who remember "the good old days". Best Regards to All TWA "ers" out there. Herb Rose, Capt TWA (retired)

I have NO objection, buy why the senority number? Bob/STL Bob, It's kind of an inside joke that dates back to Smilin' Jack's board. I was just trying to find something to write about to get more posts. Laugh. gambit

Nick, this site just keeps getting better.... As one of our old slogans read..... "Being the best isn't everything..... it's the only thing". Keep it up and thanks... Ian

I'm very happy to be here also. Perhaps in the future we might have a "Retiree's" forum. Thanks, Nick

Hey everyone
Thanks for registering! I'm we've already got some topics started! To answer some questions: Bob, the seniority number thing refers to the TWAer certificates. Not sure if you've got one for yourself yet - If not, there's a link from the front page of TWAlive. Each certificate features a unique "number" - a seniority number, of sorts.
Irish: I'll consider adding the Retiree section some time soon, but I'm going to wait until people have started some more discussions first - I want to keep the number of discussion areas limited for now. I appreciate the suggestion though - I will add a retiree section eventually.
Everybody, go start some conversations ;-)!
Nick

GREAT SITE - thank you! Wondering who else from the International division is around - just saw Ian Wooley ("hi Ian!!") - was with TW Vienna until the last departure which in fact was TW9741 - a truck delivering all of our stuff to CDG after the last 767 left Vienna bound for JFK Greetings to all ! Glad there's another TWA board on the web. This one seems more "international" in character! I was the 767 F/O on the inaugural JFK-Vienna non-stop in the 90's. Miss that flying!
